unveil
You are of such value and importance—the likes of which I think, my dear children, you are beginning to see.
Have you noticed the depths which your soul has been crying out? The reach your blood has as it spreads from your vessels? Ah, my dear sweet children. The time has come.
It’s an unveiling party.
It’s a celebration!
Oh, what? You don’t see the party? Ohhhh, my sweet sweet children, the party hasn’t quite yet started. But the time draws nigh.
The fruits from the labor that you have been toiling are about to pay off. Can you see it? Just cresting the top of this mountain is the bright, shining sun. Hold your heads up, my loves, you’ve almost ascended to the top of this peak.
While you have been struggling, suffering, wallowing, swimming in these messes, you have been moving forward. I promise. It may not look like it. It may not feel like it. So you think you’ve just gone around in a circle? Or traveled back only to be throw into the pit of despair once more?
No. No my sweet loves. You couldn’t be more wrong.
What lies ahead is what I have been waiting for you to see. What lies ahead is the most beautiful gift of all. And it is nothing short of a miracle from the Universe, the Earth, and all the beings that inhabit in and around you.
It’s almost time for your unveiling party.
I want you to see your strength. For if you were to turn around, you will actually see how far I’ve had you travel. You will see how far you’ve actually come. Much more than you think. The perspective is skewed—as it always is. Look how high you’ve climbed? It’s always so much easier, in the moments that we suffer, to only see how much we have yet to go. But the true measure is one that you don’t always allow yourself to have. Yes the past is strong in it’s own rite. And yes, the past holds demons, and treasures, and suffering, and tales of the most sad and hardened hearts.
BUT, my loves.
BUT MY LOVES. Allow yourselves to feel my excitement. That’s in the past, just like everything else you’ve already done. Today is a new day. Today is a new year. And you have the choice to do whatever it is that feeds your sweet soul into it’s most highest and exalted states. Now as we journey and seek things from our memories and history books, we can do so with our heads held high. Nothing that comes up should surprise you. Look at all you’ve had to uncover and relearn this past year. Don’t allow yourself the misfortune of assuming your own story. Let it unfold. Allow yourself to be surprised. For every turn down a dark path leads you through and around a place with so many things to discover—if only you allow your eyes to adjust to the light. The monsters and animals and people who dwell here are of your own making—you know them all. And there are so many new faces still yet to discover.
But it’s a celebration after all. And so you will learn and meet those new faces with arms wide open because you don’t’ really have any other choice. And you know this. And look how you can allow yourself to accept this. If you can’t get to a place of allowing yourself to have this experience of anything short of a outright festival of the depths of your soul—then my sweet children. You must strap in. You’ve jumped in line a bit late—and there’s no time to exit. And we’re taking off now. Don’t worry—while the ride will never end and be filled with twists and turns…you’re in good company. You have me. You have each other. But, most importantly, you have yourselves.
And so here we go. On this journey. Starting off this new year and I ask you again. Do you see the light before you? Lift your heads. Let yourself have it. Why would you let anything so beautiful pass you by? Don’t be foolish, child. You’ve asked for this. You’ve prayed for this. You’ve wanted this each and every day…I’ve heard you.
And so I led you.
The path fastest to the place you’d like to go is a straight one. And straight we went. Straight into the places where you thought you couldn’t go alone. Did you know all that you were capable of? Do you fathom still how much more you are capable of but have yet to accomplish?
You cannot avoid any path you must travel. And some, while you think you’ve gone too far past where that path may be will be sorely surprised to find you circle right back to it. You can never ignore or push away or avoid anything in your life. It comes at such a great cost. And the cost will always be greater the longer you defer those parts of yourself. But I stand with you, my sweet children, with my torch to your back. Not to threaten you. No. No. Never.
In the darkness ahead, my torch blinds you if you turn around—forcing your face to face forward…not behind. To go into the past you must travel forward. You may look behind, but only so that you can find your next step. The light from my flame keeps you warm—you always know someone is behind you—you are never alone. It cauterizes your wounds—when you are hurting and in pain, your direction, your support, will heal you. And when my arm gets tried. You will be able to carry that torch for me. Allowing yourself to lead both of us down this dark path—and you will illuminate any way you wish to go.
And oh, oh my sweet sweet beautiful and broken children—my arm is getting so very tired. It’s time to return home for the party.
Everyone’s waiting.
